Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you ever sub-commission the shoot to someone else?
  • Never. I personally shoot the Wedding, edit and process the Photographs, and design the Albums. This way, both you and I remain in total control and you receive the outstanding quality and service that you expect. I never book more than one Wedding per day, so sub-commissioning is something I have never entertained.
  • Can friends & family purchase any of our Wedding Photographs from you?
  • Yes of course. All your friends and family need to do is visit this website and click on the ''Client' link in the menu and follow the instructions. All they need to know is the password that I supply the Bride and Groom in order to view and purchase the photographs online. Payment is accepted by PayPal or Credit/Debit Card and the Photographs are sent direct to the address nominated by them. They normally arrive within a few days. There is simply no need for you to be involved in this process. The on-line proofing and ordering service is normally activated only after you have returned from Honeymoon and seen the Photographs for yourselves first, and then agreed an activation date with me.
  • Can I have Black and White Photography as well as Colour?
  • Yes of course. These days it’s extremely easy to produce both, side by side if you wish, and they work very well in the modern Albums that are becoming more and more popular. The cost of the Photographs or Albums is exactly the same, whether you choose Black and White or Colour.
  • What Products do most other couples end up ordering from you?
  • Most couples will order the full DVD because it enables them to view or produce any Photographs of the day completely copyright free. Of course, they may also wish to reproduce their own Coffee Table Albums for friends or family, or just simply plug it into the computer and enjoy! In addition, I am nearly always asked to provide at least one Professional Album for the Bride and Groom, and often one other Album (albeit smaller) for Parents or Bridesmaids, etc, because the quality that I provide is simply stunning.
  • What happens if it rains?
  • If we really do need to take all the shots inside, which is rare, then multiple professional lights are used to produce stunning Photographs. You won’t be disappointed, so don’t let the weather worry you at all as far as the Photographs are concerned.
  • What happens if I do not purchase the full DVD of all photos?
  • No problem. If you want me to produce an Album, you just need to let me know what 'style' of Album you prefer, how many Photos you want in it, and what your budget is. Just remember though, that if you choose not to purchase the DVD, any supplementary purchases of Photographs will soon start to add up from a cost point of view.
  • Are you a member of any Industry Bodies related to Weddings?
  • Yes. You will find me listed as 'William Bryne' within the 'Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers' (SWPP) under the Surrey Category.
  • What do you normally do about food for yourself during the day?
  • I always bring my own sandwiches and eat alone, separate from the function when everyone else sits down to eat. This enables me to have a break for a few minutes, but mainly to enable me to refresh memory cards, clean lenses on the camera’s, check over equipment, timings, etc. Bride and Grooms are always very kind and concerned but need not worry about me at all.
  • Why don’t I just get my Uncle Bob to do this shoot with his nifty new digital Camera?
  • The simple answer is because these very helpful, nice people (often relatives!) just cannot produce the quality pictures you deserve. Before you are tempted to go along with their kind offer, just ask them (or yourself at least) these basic questions;
  1. Will they actually turn up and go ahead with it? Most 'bottle it' and end up sick, out of the country, camera kit stolen, etc, leaving you with absolutely nothing.
  2. How many professional full frame cameras and lenses will they use on the day?
  3. What back up camera do they have if the main one malfunctions?
  4. Do they have they enough memory cards? (They will need an awful lot!).
  5. What do they know about posing?
  6. How will they ensure they get the key shots?
  7. Do they actually know what the key shots are?
  8. Can they produce professional results in dark churches when a flash is not allowed?
  9. How will they cope if it rains?
  10. What software will they use to produce Professional Albums?
  11. What Album dealers do they have contracts with?
  12. Have they done any professional training?

I could go on and on and on.

But if you are still not convinced by my points above, will you please consider this one last important point of view from all the married couples I have met that have gone down the route of using Uncle Bob and his nifty new camera; every single last one of them has regretted it bitterly because well-meaning Uncle Bob simply could not produce stunning Photographs like I can – period.

There is no second chance with your Wedding – simply contact me and let me arrange your shoot for you. Perhaps you could thank Uncle Bob for his offer and let him know that you had already booked someone up!
